The Multi ProcessorPMC carrier card 6705 provides
a simple, convenient and flexible solution for adapting processor and system
interface functionality to the cPCI systems. Flexible features included 32
or 64bit PCI bus interface in 33 or 66MHz for the dual ProcessorPMC slots.
Full cPCI Hot Swap capability is build-in with
options for Dual 10/100BaseT network and one serial port interface with
PowerPC ProcessorPMC card.
This carrier card will reduce product’s
time-to-market by allowing software development and evaluation of PMC cards
to start immediately before any customize solution is defined.
The 6705 is designed with a build-in
Non-Transparent PCI Bridge. It will allow users to add computing
functionality and provide localized processor power necessary for vertical
applications such as protocol processing, data filtering and I/O
management. The 6705 is designed to be compatible with all standard PMC and
ProcessorPMC products.
