Anaheim, CA, January 7, 1999: TriEMS Research Lab introduced TRL6215, a 366MHz Pentium class Single Board Computer, for the Industrial compact PCI bus and stand alone embedded controller application. TRL6215 features include hot swap capability per PICMG specification, four PMC slots, on board flash up to 144MB, Universal Serial Bus, 10/100Mb network port, EIDE ports, serial and parallel ports and optional rear panel I/O adapter. User programmable LED is available on the front panel. Optional features for user to monitor power supplies fail and degrade status.

After considerable marketing research, TriEMS has taken the approach to provide a range from best price to high performance with multiple source CPU solutions form Intel, AMD and IDT. A single slot solution including 10/100Mb-network port and one PMC slot. Option for three additional PMC slots in the two-slot configuration is available. TRL6215 also provides options for user to install on-board flash up to 144MB. For stand-alone embedded application, an ATX power supply connector is available with power on/off switch.

TriEMS positioned the TRL6215, a 6U cPCI Pentium class Single Board Computer, to become the standard of new generation Single Board Computers. It is compatible to the latest PICMG and PCI standards and works with all cPCI and PMC add-on Cards.

TriEMS introduces TRL6215, 6U Pentium class hot swap ready cPCI Single Board Computer with 100Mb network, 144MB flash and 4 PMC slots.

The TRL6215, cPCI Single Board Computer incorporates a high performance 512K Bytes of Synchronous Cache supports up to 512M Bytes of Burst mode Extended Data Output (EDO) DRAM with error correction (ECC). It has a user programmable watchdog timer. Two PCI master mode enhanced IDE ports support four IDE devices. A floppy controller for two drives. Two serial ports and one bi-directional parallel port are assessable from the front panel. A buffered PCI bus with mastership on all seven compact PCI slots. Plug and Play BIOS with optional flash boot-block.

Compact PCI passive back plane with 8 slots and development systems are available to complement the TRL6215 Single Board Computer.
